5 Live Thai Micro Crabs (1/2") - Fully Aquatic! - Item code: TMC5

Larger or smaller quantities available on request! Just visit our website, www.aquaticarts.com, or contact us at AquaticArtsIN@gmail.com

Included is 5 Thai Micro Crabs (Limnopilos naiyanetr, aka "false spider crabs). These are tiny, fully aquatic crabs that so far have only been found in one specific river in Thailand. They are a very new and rare addition to the aquarium hobby. This is one of the very few types of crab that can live fully immersed in water at all times, so they are able to be kept in any freshwater aquarium. Due to their small size, these crabs pose little or no threat to most fish or other aquarium inhabitants; however, aggressive fish or animals may come after the micro crabs. They tend to do very well in tanks with dwarf shrimp.

Thai Micro Crabs don't grow any larger than 1/2 inch in diameter, making them great for small tanks and nano tanks. I repeat: these crabs are VERY TINY, and should probably only be purchased by experienced nano or micro aquarists. They often act shy when first introduced to a new tank, but eventually will be found clinging to plants and decor and perching atop driftwood. They prefer to have plenty of hiding places, such as caves and plant cover. The way they eat is similar to Singapore Flower Shrimp or Bamboo Shrimp - they filter particles out of the water using tiny hairs on their claws.

RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS:
- PH level range: 6.5 to 8.0
- Temperature range: 72 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit
- Water type: Soft to hard
- Recommended InvertObsession tank mates: Non-aggressive fish (such as Danios or Guppies), dwarf shrimp (such as Red Cherry Shrimp, Blue Velvet Shrimp, Amano Shrimp, etc.). Cichlids, crayfish, and other invertebrates and fish can be aggressive towards these crabs and should not be kept in the same tank.
- Additional notes: Thai Micro Crabs need hiding places such as caves or plant cover (such as java moss, anubias barteri, green cabomba, etc.). They tend to make frequent escape attempts, so it is best to keep them in an aquarium with a cover.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

I do not have much time to answer emails, so please read the following instructions carefully. If you still have questions, I will do my best to answer them, but it may take a day or so for me to reply.

1. Send all payments to InvertObsession@yahoo.com - Send as a purchase, not a gift.

2. To the original cost of the item, add $12 for shipping on first item, and $1 per item after that. Heat pack included for free if needed.

3. IMPORTANT! In the notes on the Paypal payment, list the item code (NOT the auction number. The item code is listed in bold at the top of this ad). Also important: I will ONLY ship to the shipping address you select when you make the payment, period. Please double check the address before you send $.

4. I will get an email letting me know I got the payment, then ship the package via Priority Mail in an insulated box. A real box, not a Small Flat Rate. It can take up to a week for me to ship, but usually 2 or 3 days (depending on my stock).

5. 100% Live Arrival Guarantee! Just take a clear, digital picture of the unopened bag, and I will make it right and then some. Standard rules apply; you have to receive it on the first delivery attempt. If there is a delay that is the fault of the USPS, I still cover it as long as it does not get delivered to the wrong address.

6. Again, if you have any questions or concerns, email me at AquaticArtsIN@gmail.com
