PLEASE READ ENTIRE AUCTION & TERMS BEFORE BIDDING Shipping to contiguous 48 states only, (CONUS, not AK, HI, or PR). � Blond Platinum Double Swords (Blond Schimmelpfennig Swords) These are a natural mutation in the pure strain, not a cross. These trace back to a single female and a trio of her offsring born in my tanks. These have been breeding true with 100% blond offspring. I have kept them in all kinds of conditions and they have proven to be extremely hardy fish. The tendency to eat fry is fairly low. � � � Young males first show only yellow/white/platinum. Then as large juveniles and young adults they get a couple of red/orange spots on their side which slowly fade as they become fully mature. When full grown, one spot dispears entirely and the other fades significantly, being covered with a metal patch. � � � This is an old German strain which has been used to introduce platinum into new lines. The regular colored version (here) is probably my favorite guppy but these blonds show the platinum/metal much more. I usually don't even like blond fish but the icy white swords and dorsal with bright yellow metal bodies is really eye catching. � � � You will receive 3 young pairs, males at the red spot stage (3rd picture).
