Description

5 juvenile, unsexed, julidochromis transcriptus Gombe and 5 juvenile, unsexed, lamprologus ocellatus gold. Both groups of fish are about 1" - 1.5" long. They are actively feeding on Tetramin flake, frozen brine shrimp and chopped frozen bloodworms. Both of these fish are high quality strains that I raise here in my fish room. I keep mine in species only tanks but I have kept them together in a Tanganyikan community tank. If you do keep them together you can expect high fry mortality from them poaching each other's fry. The Gombe are cave spawners and the ocellatus are shell dwellers. I use escargot shells with all my shell dwellers. Unlike multis that will live closely in a colony set-up, the ocellatus prefer some space between themselves. Each fish will pick out a shell or two and establish a small territory around it. Even though they are small, no fish will be permitted to pass through the territory. The Gombe are similar with regard to their selected cave. I keep mine in hard Lake Erie tap water at 78 degrees. I complete about a 1/4 to 1/3 water change weekly. These are the last group of ocellatus I will have for a while. I do have small fry but they take some time to grow-out to a size where they can be safely shipped. Shipping is $20 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. This auction will ship Wednesday 10/9 so payment is due at the close of auction on Tuesday 10/8. If payment is not received as requested I will relist the auction. If you are unable to comply with these terms, please don't bid on this auction. If you have any questions just ask. Thanks for looking.
