PLEASE READ ENTIRE AUCTION & POLICIES BEFORE BIDDING! Shipping to contiguous 48 states only, (CONUS, not AK, HI, or PR). BROWN DWARF BRISTLENOSE ANCISTRUS � � Size will be from 1" to 1.25". Fish are from multiple spawns. You are bidding on one small brown bristlenose pleco, minimum size is 1" OAL. Up to at least 12 are available to the winning bidder at the auction closing price. Email for availability if you want more than a dozen. There are very limited quantities of albinos at the same size which can be added to your purchase of browns if you wish. Someone was recently asking why these were $3 and the slightly smaller babies only $2. Was it a special sale? No. Is there really such a big difference? In a word, YES. While only slightly longer, these fish have much more body mass. When I am catching fish to ship, I sort them by size and color as they are captured. The container of $2 fish look like babies. This slightly larger size looks sturdier, more like mini bristlenose. Not convinced? The fish on the right are all 0.80" to 1.0", $2 each. On the left are the $3 fish, none over 1.25". The difference is huge, they must have double the total size. Those are actual fish which were shipped, each fish was measured for length. � � Here are more of the 1" - 1.25" fish. � � � These fish may be too small to go directly into a tank with big fish. Email about compatibility if unsure. Just a short time in a peaceful tank should be all they need to reach a good size for larger tanks with larger fish. Adults will be 3" - 5", average 4". Nothing beats a bristlenose for general algae control! Bristlenose really appreciate a choice of several caves and males will establish territories. A diet rich in fiber including fresh veggies, such as zucchini, green beans, peas and collard greens is required. I will be INCLUDING some fresh high quality algae discs for them to eat to make sure they get off to a good start with you. Driftwood for them to rasp on is advised and will provide additional fiber and aid digestion. A high protein diet without enough fiber can cause serious problems. Plan on a minimum of 10 gallons per fish at adult size. Ideal temps are 70s up to about 80F. Get one or a dozen for the winning bid price. Here are the answers to the most common questions I get.
