This fish is a coastal species which lives in freshwater as adults. The fish for sale will do fine in a freshwater tank; if they spawn the eggs will hatch into tiny fry that need brackish water and rotifers to grow up. It's an interesting process and I'm happy to provide ongoing advice to anyone who would like to try to breed them.
Rhinogobius are generally bottom-dwellers; they like to dig so are ill-suited for planted tanks with sand or soil but won't do much damage with gravel. They're carnivores and fairly easy to feed but won't eat floating foods -- sinking pellets or frozen food are ideal. I feed mine a mix of frozen bloodworms and bug bites.
Shipping is $15 fixed for USPS priority. Multiple orders can be combined; more fish are available at winning bid price.
Fish shown are parents of the fish for sale.
