This is one of the culture we kept in a separate trough and has been thriving for many years. The daphnia is of the Pulex specie and have lived harmoniously without crashing with a specie of Cyclop we called "Fiery Red Cyclops." The name "Fiery Red" is descriptive of this Cyclop specie; it looks as though it has been painted in flaming red color, and is a specie of Cyclop that is larger than the smaller transparent variety of Cyclop commonly found in a mud pond. We are the only known supplier of these Fiery Red Cyclops, which makes great food for young and older fish fry. Also a science class project will find these fiery red Cyclops an amazing study, and a marvel of natural wonder. Dormant in a frozen solid state for many years in ice, it can come back to immediate life when the melting ice turns into a liquid water form. Freeze them in the refrigerator, and amaze your students as soon as the ice melts. You are bidding on hundreds of Fiery Red Cyclops mix Daphnia Pulex (medium size daphnia). This is a hormonious stock that has been thriving well together for a few years. Perfect for science class projects to see cyclops and their egg sacs, and daphnia's beating heart and eggs. Or, great for tropical fish food where a blend of small crustaceans and medium size daphnia pulex provides the primary food. The specimen can be grown indoor and outdoor with green algae water, yeast, and/or goldfish and koi food. Daphnia are relatively easy live food to culture, maintain, and tropical fish and other freshwater fish loves them as they are found in their natural environment. Email if you have any additional questions. Shipping is about 2-3 days USPS priority mail, which is included in the price. Live arrival is guaranteed. DOA SHOULD BE REPORTED TO ME BY EMAIL WITHIN 24 hrs. Customer is liable for re-shipping charges. Also check us out at www.daphniaforsale.com
