My tightly wound, handcrafted mops are absolutely the best quality mops available online. All tie-offs are triple wound and then triply knotted to ensure that this mop will stay in good shape over years of use. Compare the quality and workmanship of my mops to any offered elsewhere and you'll see the difference. Many have been sold to AKA members here and to Killi Clubs both here and in Europe/GB. I've not offered these as a separate item for awhile as they are labor intensive to produce, but in light of the many requests received I'm going to wind again for awhile at least.
These very dense mops are designed to provide a safe haven for the eggs of a variety of egg laying species and a hiding place for newly dropped livebearer fry. Killi breeders will find that this is the only mop they need for both top and bottom plant spawning killifish. These mops are made of 100% washable acrylic that will never decompose in water and - unlike live plant thickets and loosely wound mops - can be sterilized without damage.
One thing to look for is the number of strands - the thicker the mop the more eggs you will save. Each mop is an overall eight inches in length and hasno fewer than 120 separate strands(many more and therefore much bushier than similar mops offered online) supported by a synthetic cork that can easily be removed to convert this floating thicket into a bottom mop for those species that deposit or scatter their eggs in the lower portion of the tank. If you really want to cover all your bases, sink one at the back of the tank under one or two floating above and leave an open area for feeding and displaying in the front half of the tank. No need for both short and long mops with this flexibility.
If you win this auction you can select from either the brighter Paddy Green or the more earthy Dark Sage - Assorted as you wish - All of one color or a mix - Just let me know via email at time of purchase.
They are available as well in any quantity you wish. Email to arrange price and shipping for custom orders.
Kenny says our mops are the best!
I prefer PayPal, but USPS money orders purchased at the post office are also acceptable. I'll give you payment information via email at time of purchase, and if you do not have a PayPal account and/or just want to use a credit card to pay for your purchase, let me know and I'll send you a credit card payment link that will work through my PayPal.
Shipping is by USPS First Class Mail and is free for this Six Mop Auction. I almost always ship the next day, and never later than the second day after purchase.
If you are outside the US or Puerto Rico please email for possible additional shipping charges before bidding. Canada is usually +$1.00 US.
Thanks for viewing our auction and best of luck with your fish!
