I don't know much of anything about fish - I design medical devices and military equipment and stuff. But my wife got an aquarium that was quickly overrun with snails. We tried the normal stuff and weren't satisfied with the results, so I came up with several different designs to get rid of the little guys. Turned out, one of the simplest designs was actually the best.

So, the Snail Sucker - what is it? It's . . . well . . . a glorified turkey baster. Yup. Flange some tubing, bond it to a baster, seal the bulb to make things airtight, and you've got yourself a handy new tool. Great for snail removal, targeted feeding, underwater dusting, and general clean-up.
