Killies in Planted Tanks

Thanks for checking out my page!
I've been keeping fish and plants since age six when I started with feeder guppies and hornwort. Now some 34 years later I have multiple planted tanks and focus on raising annual killifish. The males of many species are brilliantly colored and easily attract the attentions of aquarists new to these fish. If you elect to raise them, please learn all you can about them first as many species are from threatened habitats and need our commitment to their future. If you purchase eggs, please do your best to raise, reproduce and distribute them to other enthusiasts.

Annual Killifish Eggs
Annual killies lay large numbers of eggs during their abbreviated lifespan. These eggs must be incubated in a moist media for several months before the embryos are developed to the point of hatching. This allows the eggs to be distributed through the mail quite easily, although shipping long distances with large temperature fluxes can speed up embryonic development or even kill them. For this reason, I do not guarantee hatch rates on killie eggs and prefer to only ship within the USA.
