JustMe Page For: Schmidtfarm

Schmidt Farm

Welcome to My Page!
Hi fellow ABers! Welcome to my JustMe page. I call myself a hobbyist out of control. I have multiple tank syndrome (MTS) and all of my tanks are in our dining room. It is amazing how many fish tanks you can squeeze into a room. When you put fish together they spawn, just like nature intended. I use AquaBid as a venue to find new homes for my excessive excess. Being a small time seller means when you buy my stock you are getting fish that were raised with TLC. I only ship young healthy stock. Thanks for looking at my stuff and best of luck.

A MUST READ - ALL THAT JAZZ
GUARANTEE: I offer an unconditional live arrival guarantee on every shipment unless otherwise stated in any individual auction. In the event of any DOA a clear digital photo of the livestock in the original, unopened bag is required to initiate the guarantee. I reserve the right to refund the value or provide replacements. Shipping fees paid by the winners are excluded from any and all guarantees. INVOICES & PAYMENT: Within 24 hours of close of auction the Buyer will receive a PayPal generated invoice. I accept Postal Money Orders, Cashiers Checks and PayPal. PayPal is preferred, the account name is schmidtfarm@msn.com. When bidding please make sure that your Aqua Bid account and your PayPal account both reflect your current mailing address. If the addresses don't match I will use the address provided by PayPal, unless other arrangements are made. If the PayPal address is incorrect and the shipment results in loss the live arrival guarantee will be voided. Payment is expected within 3 days of auction closing SHIPPING: The shipping methods available are USPS and UPS. Please contact me for a quote. I will make every attempt to ship within 2 business days following receipt of payment. I reserve the right to delay shipping in the event of severe weather at either end of the shipment. I have received the best packing instructions available, but I won't mess with Mother Nature. There is never a charge for the shipping container, insulation, heat or cold packs. The Winner will be provided with the ship date, carrier and tracking number as soon as possible following shipping. Please make sure someone will be available to accept delivery. FEEDBACK: My responsibility, as the seller, is to provide feedback as soon as the winners meet their obligations, (i.e. providing correct shipping info and timely payment). The recipients should leave feedback upon receipt of product as described in their auctions. If anyone is unhappy with their shipment please contact me before leaving feedback. All attempts at resolution should be exhausted before leaving negative feedback. I have found that most feedback is a fairly accurate representation of the buyer and seller. When checking feedback it is important to take note of the dates provided as most sellers are honorable and will make every attempt to improve their livestock and services. When we know better, we do better! Beware of any seller that has negative feedback left that seems to follow a similar theme. It is true that for every person that complains there are many more that dont complain. I know because I used to be the type that didnt complain, but I always took my business elsewhere. Feedback is a valuable tool, please use it wisely. (THESE TERMS APPLY UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ANY INDIVIDUAL AUCTION) Please send me an email if you have any questions not answered. A NOTE ABOUT COLD WEATHER SHIPPING When you receive a package in cold weather and the fish appear dead they may not be. Before flushing them, take some time to quickly warm the shipping bags. If they are alive you will start to see some gill and fin movement. I received 3 bags of fish that all appeared dead. The bags were cold. I took photos and notified the seller immediately as required. Before I dumped them I noticed a tiny flutter in one of the bags. I wrapped the bags in hand towels and placed them on a heating pad, set on low. I checked back about 10 minutes later and some of the fish were starting to show signs of life. After an hour all the fish in two of the bags were up and swimming. Sadly the fish in the third bag were all DOA. But I was ecstatic at the recovery. Those fish have been in my tanks for going on a year now and all are thriving.
