WE'RE BACK!!! Big thanks to everyone who supported us and purchased fish from us in 2011 through Aquabid. Construction on our new farm and distribution facility is well underway. Still a lot left to do but damn good progress considering it's just me doing all the work. We are ready to pick up where we left you last year with the best in locally produced fish directly from the farmer's themselves! Our Rams are busy makin' babies and the ancistrus never skipped a beat. New stuff is in the works so keep stopping by!

Our website at Gunpowderaquatics.com is under construction and will be up in a few weeks. I am building a new, more user friendly site. In the mean time, follow us on Aquabid and feel free to e-mail me with any questions or any fish you are looking for. Wimauma/Ruskin is the fish farming capitol of the USA and I work directly with most of the local farmers and two of the largest importers in the nation. Gunpowder Aquatics primarily produces Rams and Ancistrus and we are currently working with African Butterflies and a few select North American shiner species. We also work with a number of other species solely for sale to hobbyists that I will post here on Aquabid as they are available. So here is the boring stuff -- Auctions must be closed and paid by the Friday prior to our Tuesday shipping day to ensure you get the best fish we have to offer and I don't send them to the distributors! All fish are held in a 24 hour flow-thru system after 3 weeks in quarantine before being shipped to you. We ONLY ship on Tuesdays - no exceptions. Live arrival is guaranteed only on Express Overnight Shipping and we are not responsible for the weather so if you are not comfortable with ordering fish in the middle of the winter or summer - don't!! We only use the highest of quality shipping materials and include any necessary heat or cold packs in the shipping costs. Fish are shipped in Pro-Pak styrofoam boxes made specifically for the aquaculture industry. Many species are shipped in Kordon Breather Bags so take some time to visit their website to learn how to properly use the bags, I will send instructions with your order. Extra insulation is included as required. In the rare event of a DOA -- follow these instructions carefully and you'll get new fish or a credit for a purchase from our website. Shipping costs are NOT refundable - period. You must send at least two clear and focused pictures of the dead critters in the original shipping bags within 1 hour of delivery. Then take the fish out of the bag, cut it in half and send the picture. Sometimes crap happens and I understand that it stinks to get dead fish so send me the pics and I will get you taken care of - and no crying, whining or complaining. Trust me, I hate dead fish more than you do. Lastly, I do most everything here from breeding to cleaning the floors and running the website and delivering fish to the distributors so give me at least 24 hours to answer your e-mails. I usually sit on the 'puter after 8pm so be patient and I'll answer any questions you may have.
