Show Quality Guppies--IFGA Breeder

Do you want high end quality breeding stock?
Hello and thank you for looking at my Just Me page. I have been breeding fancy guppies since I was 8 years old. My uncle had some great stock in the early 70s from some of the local breeders in Louisville/Lexington area. I still remember it vividly. They were larger reds and multis. To this day, I have never seen better reds than those. He had two tanks which he raised the guppies; a 10 and 5 gallon. He gave me some guppies, took them home to my tank, and once I saw the babies floating around I was hooked! It is a disease really with no known cure. I started acquiring top tiered stock in the early 1990s and began showing in the late 1990s. I used my science and genetics background as a tool for my breeding program and fish room expansion. I am a member of the IFGA (4 top ten finishes, multiple class championships, and Grand Male Runner up), former judge, and founding member of the RMGA-Rocky Mountain Guppy Associates. Why do I sell fish? Acquiring GOOD stock is not easy. Sure, there are a lot of guppy raisers and sellers, but they really do not know the fish. I am pretty blunt, but that is the truth of the matter. I also noticed that even if you could catch a top breeders attention, pricing is very high. (I do not have a problem with the pricing. You are paying for all the hard work that has been lovingly put in over the years). What could I do for us common folk who want good stock at reasonable prices? That led me to selling guppies several years ago. It originally started out as a fundraiser for our guppy club. After being approached a lot about selling fish, I decided to sell stock at reasonable prices. If you think you make money selling guppies, you are wrong. You will make much more money slinging burgers at minimum wage. I only sell IFGA quality or European standards guppies. I do not resell. I do not sell other peoples fish. I do not claim anything other than what the fish are. I am a guppy breeder, not a commercial for profit person. Most of my lines have long pedigrees, with known genetics, and multiple lines of the same strain. I have pure line strains that go back to the early 90s. Not many can say that. My fish will win if you raise them correctly. I am known for hardy, fertile, and active guppies. I do not baby my fish; I am an active believer in Darwins survival of the fittest in my fish room. Because of this, I rarely have diseases, loss of fish or inbreeding issues. I would be remiss if I did not mention some great mentors along the way. Some names are common in the guppy world, others not so much. I believe in giving credit to those who have helped. Elvis Bryant, Stan Shubel, Jim Alderson, Paul Gorski, Luke Roebuck, and Bryan Chin just to name a few. I cannot leave out my dear Uncle as well.

Particulars...
Conditions: I have 300 tanks of guppies. I change 15% water weekly. I feed 3-4 times daily, with at least 2 servings of live brine shrimp. My water is hard, 300-350 ppm consisting of mostly calcium and magnesium. It is also alkaline, coming out of the tap between 7.9 and 8.3. I am also old school; bare bottom tanks with air driven box filters stuffed with whatever media is working for me at the time. Shipping: I guarantee live arrival for Express only. I will replace DOA. I do not guarantee live arrival for Priority, although I rarely have a problem. I do not give refunds on DOA fish; I replace for Express shipping only and when you pay for re-shipment. I dont replace extras or freebies.
