Okay, I am just settling in here and would like to say hello to all my new friends on AquaBid! I am presently just trying to keep the air on and feed the fish that I love so dearly. It would seem the pet fish industry has been taking a beating with the close of many mom & pop pet shops that were so dedicated to their customers with information and knowledge. (I know I did that too for over 20 years!) The new technologies are becoming so very overwhelming. Economic factors have aided this as well. Other than being second only to photography, fish keeping is perhaps no longer the great hobby it once was in the world. There is a wealth of information swimming by us out here now, let us help the next generation see it! Sorry, We can not ship through the mail at this time LOCAL PICKUP ONLY! (BUT everyone leaves with a smile, so perhaps some FREE FISH will help pay for gas!) Thanks for looking & reading if you ever want to learn more or stop by just send me an email! Thanks again! ***** Email: ProvTrop@gmail.com ***** PayPal: db.limited@gmail.com

About The Farm & Me
In 1975 raising fish had become major part of my life outside my family. Numerous tanks filling a second bedroom were not enough to satisfy my aquatic hunger and had built my first fish pond out of plywood. (Luckily it was below ground apartment.) I With the added space I soon started raising fancy guppies. In NJ Some years later I had Placed 3rd in a local IFGA show and started accumulating fish farming literature, (as there was no internet back then) and was well on my way south to Sunny Florida!...... Started in 1983 the farm and the fish we have raised allowed us to feed a family of 4 comfortably. We sometimes struggled with mother nature in all her fury, (Freezes & Hurricanes took their toll!) and soon learned the true definition of the word adversity which anyone who chooses to farm the land will know very well. Over the years we have won numerous awards for Fancy Guppies & Fancy Angelfish in many of the Florida Tropical Fish Farms Associations (FTFFA) annual commercial fish competitions and shows. I was elected to the FTFFA Board of Directors, created and was the original webmaster of their first internet presence, the photos of our fish graced the pages of numerous magazines (TFH, etc.) and one of our fancy guppy photos was welcomed on a cover of Pet Dealer magazine. Currently I am disabled, made a few bad choices along the road, but raising tropical fish was not one of them. After 30+ years in the industry of tropical fish farming I still have the same aquatic desire and manage to feed a few fish I have loved so long. As I still always like to say, Tropical Fish have been very, very good to me!
