My username is a bit of a misnomer, since I currently just raise and sell guppies. I have been breeding guppies for 8 years. In 2003 I acquired many top quality angelfish. I didn't really like the work involved with the bigger tanks( 68 gallon tanks are hard to move and clean). So, I have returned to my favorite fish, guppies. I am a Registered Nurse and work full time for a staffing Agency which means my schedule can be unpredictable at times. I also have a 3 and a 5 year old, who both love watching the fish. I had sold all my stock, and am now looking to get restarted with the guppies.
Caring for the fish
All of the fish are fed a variety of of foods, including decapsulated bbs eggs, newly hatched bbs, freeze dried bloodworms(for the breeders), several types of flakes, and microworms. Water changes are 30-50% weekly, at a minimum. I use box filters with mechanical, chemical, and biological media. I will only ship fish that I would be wiling to breed myself, not culls. I will always include extras, but if I tell you how many, that would spoil the surprise. All fish are double bagged with bag buddies and are professionally packaged. Top quality 72 hour heat packs will be included when needed.
