All my plants contain NO snail, NO snail egg, and NO Black Beard Algae (BBA). Plants are pulled fresh from my tank and shipped within 1 hour from the time that they are pulled. The plants spend less than 10 minutes floating around in a bucket of water before they are packaged and shipped. All my plants are grown submerged underwater, so they will grow faster than emersed plants that are grown on dry land. It is less expensive to grow emersed plants on dry land due to free unlimited CO2 gas, but emersed plants require a transition period when submerged in water, whereby the plants grow slower and often shed their emersed leaves. For this reason, I do NOT sell emersed plants. My plants are all grown in a controlled underwater environment with 30 ppm CO2, daily fertilizer dosing, and over 100 PAR of light intensity at the substrate. These are the same conditions used in professional aquascaping competitions to produce the best possible leaf structure, growth density, and color.

It may seem counter-intuitive and annoying when the shipping costs are higher than the item that you are trying to purchase. My shipping costs are based on fixed US Postal Service pricing and may include additional packing materials such as styrofoam insulation, special breather bags, and heat packs. There are NO profit driven handling fees or surcharges. Rest assured that the combined cost of fish and shipping are still approaching wholesale as many of my out-of-state customers are fish stores that are purchasing my items for resale at their local brick and mortar store.

All fish are not fed for 48 hours prior to shipment to clear out their digestive system and to keep their shipping water clean. This is the industry standard in fish shipment and is required to ensure survival of the fish during transport. It is a well established fact that healthy fish are able to survive without food for 6 to 8 WEEKS, although that would obviously be stressful and should be avoided.
