About Me
Thanks for stopping by here. Just so you know a bit about me, I'm a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I've been raising/selling fish for over 16 years now. I'm a hobbyist at heart. I love fish. There are so many different kinds that I never get tired of them. Their colors, shapes, behaviors, spawning dances, etc. have kept me dazzled for years. I sell fish because it is fun, allows me to set my own schedule, is fun, allows me to spend more time at home with my wife and kids, and is fun. I really enjoy this stuff.

About my Auctions, Shipping, and Stuff
I run 2 kinds of auctions, my stuff and stuff for friends.------- MY STUFF: I breed a lot of stuff. I also sell some imported fish. All of the imported stuff is kept in my fishroom until I am sure it is acclimated to aquarium life. If I bred it or imported it, then I will usually start the auction at $1 with no reserve. Shipping is $15.00. I only ship on Monday's or Tuesdays. I usually use breather bags (Be sure not to float breather bags in your tank for acclimation as the fish can suffocate if the bags are in water).------- STUFF FOR FRIENDS: I'm also starting to sell some stuff for friends (mostly cichlids). These guys have some great fish and I want to make them available to people. One thing about these auctions though is that I don't have the fish in my fishroom. They are in my friends' fishrooms. That means that they sometimes sell out of stuff before an auction ends and I don't know about it because I am not at their house at the time. I know they have the fish when I post the auctions, but I'm not always certain they will have the fish when the auction closes. If you bid on my friends' stuff, please understand before hand that the fish might be sold before the auction ends, in which case I won't be able to sell it to you. I know this may be a bit unorthodox, but I want people to have an opportunity to get these neat, often times extremely rare cichlids, so I am going to post them anyway. The odds are that I WILL be able to send you the fish, but there may be a few times when you win an auction for my friends's stuff and they have already sold it to someone else without me knowing about it. If you can't live with this, then please don't bid on auctions I am running for friends. On auctions for MY STUFF, I always hold the fish until the end of the auction. It's only when I sell STUFF FOR FRIENDS that it may not be available. You will know when I'm selling my friends' stuff because I will say so in the auction. Also, for my friends's stuff auctions, shipping is $15.00 (medium box) - $20.00 (large box). It takes me FOREVER to cut all the styro liners, so don't complain if I charge a couple of bucks more than the actual shipping cost on these auctions for friends. THANKS AGAIN FOR STOPPING BY!!!! Dan Hodnett
