Howdy, ya'll!
I am a math professor at a few Central Illinois schools and, in my spare time, I read all about the hobby. I have an extensive collection of books on aquatics (and am always looking to increase its size with useful tomes). I am also going back to school next semester to start work on my second M.S. (this one will be in Biomathematics). I spend a lot of time on chat boards such as Aquarium Board, Aquaboards, Piranha-Fury, Aquatic-Hobbyist and others.
Piscine and aquatic interests
Right now, I'm keeping a whole bunch of fishes--a tank of Endler's Livebearers (Poecilia wingei), multis (Neolamprologus multifasciatus), Green Swordtails (Xiphophorus hellerii), a convict (Amatitlania nigrofasciata), a Cryptoheros cutteri and some Bronze and albino Corydoras aeneus. I also have some Red Cherry Shrimp, brigs, Japanese Trapdoor Snails, Malaysian Trumpet Snails, Yellow/Green Shrimps, Red Ramshorns, Pond Snails and Marisa cornuarietis and a whole ton of plants, almost literally. Among the ABers who have contributed to this growing collection: Bayleesfishees, beviking, chadnfaith, Lotsoffish, rumors1985, ucdxmisty and wermyapl.
