Is it just me, or is it????

HELLO...... this page is all about me

I don't know what you want to know but I am gonna tell you some of what I know about me. First the NON-fish boring stuff.

I am a stud LAUGH INSERTED HERE at 44 years of age, spend most of my spare time either computing, watching TV or wading through swamps bogs creeks rivers ponds streams lakes brooks puddles and ditches looking for wayward fish that want a new home in my tank. I grew up on the Mississippi in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin, thinking I was Huck Finn and Tom Saywer combined. Oh yeah I like to read... I build rafts and sailed down the river, much to my mother's dismay, and yes she had to come pick me up miles away. That is until I learned to swim well, then I was on my own. In the winter, I was fortunate enough to be able to ice skate to school. At the tender age of 17, I joined the United States Navy and was sent off to Boot Camp in Great Lakes Illinois. I served on board 1 Sub Tender in Guam Marianas Islands, 1 Destroyer out of San Diego, a Naval Station in Stockton Ca, a Naval Station on the island of Guam (again) a Naval Station in Australia (loved it loved it!!)Then onto Hawaii for 3 years, back to San Diego for a tour aboard a Cruiser, then Back to Hawaii for my final duty station. I retired after 21 years service (yes honorably). Hooked up with a buddy I went to Boot Camp with, and joined a company called Global Crossing. They moved me first to Altanta GA, which I hated, only because of traffic. Then moved me to the heart of Tropical Fish country near Tampa Florida. There I renewed my aquaintance with tropical fish (had fish all the time as a youngun). After 4 years, the company let me go due to they were deep in chapter 11 bankrupcy and had to unload not only the deadweight, but live ones too. After 1 and half years of unemployment I finally landed a new job an a new city, Bloomington ILL which I will be headed to this coming Monday. About 3 months before I was laid off I got to go to New Year state and meet a bunch of wonderful folks and
one meathead.

Guess which one?? I got to visit Pete Mang's FISH PLACE which was a great experience.

ALL THE FISH/PLANTS/DECORATIONS/TANKS AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS YOU SEE HERE CAN BE FOUND ON AQUABID AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER.

FISH I HAVE KNOWN AND LOVED
Over the course of the last 5 years, I have kept the following fish. Some I have killed off (I know it's sad) some I have sold, some I have given away, but I Enjoyed having each and every one of them. Due to my recent employment and my upcoming move (and to help my wife care for my tanks until I can come back down and move them (and her)) I have recently sold off or given away several more.
