Just a few tidbits here...

Me and the Fish
Have been in the aquaculture for many years now. In the online selling end for the last two years. My main focus for a number of years has been South American fish. Livebearers, Corys, and Plecos, taking the vast majority of my time. I maintain 5 closed N class colonies of Endlers with each colony spread among multiple tanks. Maintain 9 separate genus of Cory cats. Have had great breeding success with some rather difficult to spawn genus. Four genus of Plecos round out the group here and I have to admit that I have lately lacked a little focus when it comes to spawning these fish. Although as many know some of the best results come fish are left alone.

The BUSINESS END
I am a hobby breeder like most of us here on Aquabid. I often offer many of my fish with no reserve price and the auction starting at a dollar. I always post a Buy-it-Now price for those interested in straight out purchases. I am often asked to combine shipping. When a buyer pays the Buy-it Now price on fish I have no issue doing that. I have a hard time with buyers who basically win a no competing bid auction (paying no where near the Buy-it-Now price) wanting their shipping combined. Shipping supplies are not free to any of us. I do value my time as well but I am not asking that buyers pay for that. Please be respectful and not cheap. We all like a bargain be assured. However, consider you received that bargain on the fish and do not ask for it when it comes to the shipping and handling as I will not combine them in these circumstances. DO NOT EVEN ASK! I do not intend to come across as rude here. At times I find it hard to choke down the gall of bargain hunters. We all realize that out hobby is not inexpensive. I find it rather shameful when a fellow hobbyist attempts to make a buck off of my labors and investments. Sorry... enough on the soapbox here. I ship on either Monday or Tuesday. I ship USPS Priority Mail which gives a 2 to 3 day guarantee normally. Shipping is in an insulated box with fish in a Kordon Breather Bag. I have found that when using these bags, rarely are there any D.O.A. fish. Please understand that I cannot be responsible for the amount of time the USPS actually takes to deliver. I do, however, offer a live arrival guarantee. For this guarantee to be in affect, I ask that you be available to receive the fish on the first delivery attempt. To honor the guarantee, I will refund the per fish price paid at purchase for any deceased on arrival fish. I cannot and will not refund on any of the shipping and handling fees. In most circumstances I am able to replace deceased on arrival fish as well. In this circumstance it must be understood that the buyer is responsible for the fees associated with the reshipping. Proof of the D.O.A. fish is required with a picture taken within one hour of the delivery time and forwarded to me within the first 24 hours of the delivery. Lastly, please leave feedback. I am more than happy to leave such for you as well. We all need to be better about doing that here on Aquabid. Thanks for reading and Happy Hobbying to us all.
